As for the nurses and nursing assistants I think they have been extremely nice and courteous in my complete stay!! The therapy department has shown me ways to come back to be able to go home and things that I will help me at home plus some small exercises to help me complete my come back to the best of my abilities! The complete therapy staff has been kind and courteous and successful to get me to understand the progress to my recovery in the right way.
During my stay I found that all the people here were so helpful, encouraging and devoted to their jobs, everyone from the receptionist to rehab. God bless the staff here. They are all excellent at their jobs they do. They are all well qualified. They spurred me on and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be leaving this week. Even the student instructor that you had here went out of her way to make me feel I was important. She very encouraging and she convinced me it would happen. For a while I wasn’t too sure. Now I know what I need to do to reach my peak thanks to everyone here!
When I came here I wasn’t sure if I would like it , I had past experience in such a setting and it wasn’t what I had hoped for. However in my near one month here I am pleased to say they more than lived to the billing. The food here is excellent, meals always hot to my liking. Therapy training and staff is second to none and I was able to use it to my full advantage, and the staff very nice and helpful, pleasant, and always able to help me. If the time comes I am ever too ill to be on my own this would be my choice to live. I would highly recommend anyone needing care to call Southern Hills!
Many years of living can take it toll on a human body. That is where therapy can help, not to remake, but to rejuvenate and help heal the wear and tear. That’s what I experienced at Southern Hills. There were demands I had to meet, some I didn’t realize until completed. The staff was helpful, yet demanding. I honestly feel better and stronger as a result of all my therapy at Southern Hills.
The staff here has been very helpful “all of the staff “. Everyone here is willing to help each other no matter what the job is at hand. I don’t understand how the people here can be so nice.
My husband benefits from the classes and is getting stronger. His attitude is getting better. His speech is getting better. He is enjoying the classes and the therapists are doing a great job.
I found the classes very motivating and physically & mentally beneficial.
I have been here at Southern Hills three times. If it wasn’t for the girls in therapy I would not have made it. All the girls were beautiful to me.
To all of you wonderful, caring people who helped care for my mother (Milade “Elaine” Mouhanna). You give so much of yourselves in the kindness you show and the lives you touch. That’s why you deserve a heartfelt “thank you” and a wish that all the goodness you share comes back to you.
The Davis family just wanted to show our appreciation for the wonderful care and patience you’ve shown our mother Pat Franklin. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you from Linda, Kristy and Nick Davis. God Bless every one of you.
This is my second story of Southern Hills. When my same foot problem occurred again, there was no question in my mind where to go for rehab. The staff treated me like an old friend and were very thoughtful and helpful of my needs. The room was lovely, the food OK and activities enjoyable. I would recommend Southern Hills to others in need of care. I love the lobby area where you can visit with friends.
Thank you for flying the flag of our nation, as a proud veteran is is very meaningful to me to see our flag of freedom. I am happy to work with you all at Southern Hills. Please let me know if Vitas can help in any way in the future. Also let me know if you’d like to have a flag ceremony next time.
The staff on all shifts have been very nice and helpful. They know who I am coming to see and always let me know where Carole is (in therapy, shower etc). They have been understanding when I come to them with a concern and do their best to help me help Carole.
There aren’t enough words to adequately express our gratitude for the loving care of our mother received while Southern Hills was her home. She told us often how happy she was to be there. Everyone was wonderful, always smiling, always there whether she needed them or not.
My husband gets wonderful treatment and stimulation from the Delay The Disease classes. The girls are every efficient and knowledgeable about therapies to help the participants. He looks forward to being able to attend in the future.
I want to thank the entire staff for all the help; therapy for giving me the tools and knowledge to be able to get around. But thanks to everyone that helped me along the way.
I rate Southern Hills at a “10” on the 1-10 scale in all respects. Thanks to all for helping to make my one month stay a good experience. Everyone has been so helpful and kind to me during my recovery.
My husband benefits from the classes and is getting stronger. His attitude is getting better. His speech is getting better. He is enjoying the classes and the therapists are doing a great job!
I owe my physical well-being to all the staff here with special thanks to all the therapists, especially Amy Parrish, speech therapist, Shari Ferko, STNA and Chris Breslin, LPN.
Everyone was compassionate and aggressive in a positive way to get me where I am today. I would highly recommend Southern Hills to anyone who needs skilled nursing or therapy.
Southern Hills was a great option when looking for extended care for both my mother and brother.
The administrative staff make themselves available when any concerns come up.
The nursing staff are very professional. Family concerns are addressed immediately. I feel that my mother and brother are in the best of care.
The Nursing Assistants treat then like family.
We could not have made a better choice.
I really enjoy the classes; the exercises are varied enough so that there is enough of a variety. The staff is very helpful and well trained. I hope this class continues.
The girls were all helpful, kind and courteous – great job!
I enjoyed my stay for the third time, everyone here is wonderful.
My therapy was very good.
In a one month stay the exemplary care I received here got me back from serious distress and pain. First, management CARES, you are not just a case number, This sets the tone for the staff – a diligently, dedicated, and efficient group that attends to most details. I rate this facility “A”, but with a couple of tweaks it can be an A+! These people are top-notch.
I was resident here at Southern Hills for nearly the whole month of June 2014. The staff here was very helpful from the start. The maintenance crew always had the floors clean and shiny, the rooms smelling good and they did it all with a smile. I can’t say enough about therapy I love those girls. All and all I have to say Southern Hills will be one of my better memories.
Your kind expression of sympathy is deeply appreciated and gratefully acknowledged.

The staff members are really friendly and helpful. The provided a large body of exercises and were able to meet the needs of the class, which had a wide range of ability levels. They offered a wide range of exercises and activities.
I would like to thank the employees of Southern Hills for their professionalism in my treatment for a full recovery. The girls in therapy both speech and physical were awesome! The staff from clinical, nursing and therapy has been wonderful to my family and me.
I was very pleased with the entire staff, everyone is very helpful, they all go out of their way to make each day great.
To Whom It May Concern I became a patient at Southern Hills upon recommendation of another patient (Mr.Jim Bogner) who had the highest opinion of the medical personnel staff here. I also would recommend Southern Hills; the staff here is happy, respectful, professional people that continue common state affection, concerns and technical high quality performance toward the patients and their fellow staff. (FAMILY)
All the staff that took care of my husband James provided kind and compassionate care.
This was a nice experience. The facility was clean and comfortable. My care was very good. I enjoyed meeting the patients and saying hello to them. The food was good and very tasty. Physical therapy was a great experience and they helped me to gain strength so I could get well. Thank you to the nursing staff for their care and help.
My stay was very well; all of the staff at Southern Hills is very kind.
I Maudie N. (Grammy) wish to let the staff at Southern Hills know that my stay here was very good. The Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Housekeepers and the Therapy staff are ALL very nice and courteous.
My stay was good. I had good care and pleasant people around me. Food was so so (just not my cooking) but I ate it anyways. The therapy group couldn’t have been better. In all my stay at Southern Hills was good.
The program provides exercises both physical and mental and fellowship with others who have similar illnesses. I have found it to be helpful.
I have been employed at Southern Hills for the past 12 years, and in those 12 years I have seen a lot of changes, but the one thing that has never changed is the way that everyone here is family staff and residents, we joke, we play around and yes we get mad at one another at times, but at the end of the day our jobs are done and we are family.. I had the pleasure of seeing the caring and compassion side of all the staff first hand as my grandma was in her final moments of life, everyone working on that day came in to her to say their good byes because to all us she Grammy and loved everyone. To me the heart warming thing for me was when my residents were coming to console me and offer their condolences, until that moment I did not realize much I meant to my resident family and that we need them more than they need us. Never take your job for granted we are family, and we all know how fast things can change in life.
